Batata Harra
Batata Harra is a simple Tangy , spicy all time favourite potatoes concoction!

This simply delicious side dish of potatoes , slow cooked in oil till tender & spiced up to your taste , can either be a side dish along with all the yummy Arabic Mezze or a Meat stew or just enjoyed on its own with some Khaboos an arabic roti along with green leafy salad like a Tabbouleh or Fattoush with a bowl of Tzatziki as part of a yummy mezze !
In India we would have it with roti or naan or with some dhal & rice to make a simple, every ones favourite a never can go wrong vegetarian meal !

Ingredients
1 kg potatoes
1 cup of fresh coriander can be substituted with 1 tsp dry coriander
1 large onion
4 cloves garlic ( optional)
2 tsp chilli powder
1 lemon ( juice)
1/2 tsp salt ( to taste )
frying oil
Method :-
Heat oil and fry medium size cubed potatoes which are peeled & cubed until crisp & cooked
Remove onto a plate.( blot excess oil on a kitchen paper .
In another pan heat olive oil and add finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chilli powder , ground coriander and finely chopped fresh coriander , sauté, add the potatoes , sea salt to taste.
Mix well and finely add lime juice.
serve garnished with coriander leaves
